HISTORY SO FAR

SINttRA was born in August 2020, through the visions of Ricardo Gomes.

Influenced by diverse styles of Old School Metal, from Heavy to Thrash, through Black, Death, and Folk, he spent the rest of the year composing some ideas.

But what was a personal project, quickly suit to something more.

In April 2021, Hugo Pote became the drummer and with him, regular rehearsals a reality and the project officially a band.

Since then, time has been used to compose several songs and define the musical path.

The last months of 2023 brought excellent news, as they marked the arrival of Renato Laia as bassist in September and Tiago Ferreira for vox in November, thus completing the line-up.

At this moment, the next objectives are to prepare and record the debut release, an EP called "1154"; and compose more tracks to increase the range of options for a future Full-length.

SINttRA nasceu em Agosto de 2020, através das visões de Ricardo Gomes.

Influenciado pelos mais diversos estilos de Metal Old School, desde o Heavy ao Thrash, passando pelo Black, Death, e Folk, passou o resto do ano a compor algumas ideias.

Mas aquilo que era um projeto pessoal, rapidamente se tornou em algo mais.

Em Abril de 2021, Hugo Pote tornou-se o baterista e com ele, os ensaios regulares uma realidade e assim o projeto passou a ser oficialmente uma banda!

Desde essa altura, o tempo foi aproveitado para compor diversas músicas e definir o rumo musical.

Os últimos meses de 2023 foram portadores de excelentes noticias,  já que marcaram a chegada de Renato Laia como baixista em Setembro e de Tiago Ferreira para a vox em Novembro, completando a formação.

Neste momento, os próximos objetivos passam por preparar e gravar o lançamento de estreia, um EP de seu nome "1154"; e compor mais faixas para aumentar o leque de opções para um futuro álbum.

Manifesto Musical

Witness the passage of time, from "Castelo dos Mouros", to the "Palácio da Vila", passing through "Convento dos Capuchos", there are several traditions, religions, cultures, histories and architectural styles that combine this beautiful place and that complete each other in such a unique and passionate place.
As the village that gives it its name, the band SINttRA is also full of contrasts, which cohabit in the same musical concept, that complement each other and result in a style as unique as Metal is.
With influences ranging from Heavy to Folk, Doom to Black, passing through Death and Thrash, and with lyrics that tell the story of History, SINttRA plays Metal in its classical variants, with a progressive and medieval scent.

Testemunha da passagem dos tempos, do "Castelo dos Mouros", ao "Palácio da Vila", passando pelo "Convento dos Capuchos", várias são as tradições, religiões, culturas, histórias e estilos arquitetónicos que compõem este belo local e que se completam de uma forma tão única e apaixonante.

Conforme a vila que lhe dá o nome, também a Banda SINttRA está cheia de contrastes, que coabitam num mesmo conceito musical, que se complementam e resultam num estilo tão único como é o Metal.

Com influências que vão desde o Heavy ao Folk, do Doom ao Black, passando pelo Death e Thrash, e com letras que contam a história da História, SINttRA toca Metal nas suas diversas variantes mais clássicas, com um odor progressivo e medieval.
